Šibenik region
North Dalmatia
The islands of Zadar and Šibenik are a favorite destination for sailors. In the densely divided archipelago, everyone will find their own cove.
The Kornati Islands are unmissable, and there are also numerous green bays from Silba to Žirje. A special attraction is the canyon of the Krka River, which stretches deep into the hinterland of Šibenik, and is navigable to Skradin.
The coast between Zadar and Rogoznica is densely lined with numerous excellent marinas. In the summer, the middle Adriatic is endowed with pleasant mistrals that raise smaller waves between the islands than in the wide waters of the southern Adriatic.
When sailing, you should watch out for numerous shoals and rocks along the coasts of larger islands, mostly around Dugi otok, lž, Sit and Žut and Pašman and in the Kornati Islands. All of them are well marked with maritime markings and lights.
